About Rosalie

I am an artist, educator, and lover of all things colourful. Based on Ngunnawal land in Googong, NSW, I live with my family and our Staffordshire Terrier. After more than a decade in art education, fostering creative confidence in young people from Kindergarten through Year 12, I am now focusing on my own artistic pursuits and contributing to the vibrant Canberra and Queanbeyan art scene.

I hold a Bachelor of Interior Design, a Certificate IV in Visual Arts, and a Diploma in Visual Arts from the Canberra Institute of Technology. My practice stems from a place of design and experimentation, marrying bold shapes and saturated colour with tactile textures to cultivate spaces of playful engagement. I have a strong connection to installation and sculpture, from student projects that explored how people interact with space to my current resin works, which invite tactile engagement and playful curiosity.

I enjoy working with clear and translucent materials such as resin and Perspex, layering colour, texture, and light to create illuminated works that spark delight. Always eager to experiment, my practice spans painting, mixed media, print, and digital forms. A people person at heart, I find joy in collaborating with clients to create unique works that celebrate bold colour.

My passion for art and education continues to evolve as I prepare to open a home studio in 2026, where I will host small workshop classes and share my love of creative exploration with the community.
